RTI’s Annual Symposium on Community Safety and Policing Research

RTI is hosting its annual Symposium on Community Safety and Policing Research on April 17th-18th, 2024, from 9 am to 5 pm.

The free two-day event will examine evidence-based strategies to improve community safety and features an array of topics, including officer recruitment and retention, victim engagement, reducing community violence, and forensic genetic genealogy.
Featured sessions and speakers will include experts from law enforcement, state and federal government, and community-based organizations.
Panels will address various topics that highlight innovative and data-informed strategies and the translation of research into practice in the field. The intended audience is multi-disciplinary, including law enforcement, state, county, and city public safety officials, policymakers, and other community stakeholders.

Register to attend in person or virtually. In-person attendance will include networking opportunities, lunch, virtual reality demonstrations, and displays.
