Annual General Instructor Update Training Course

Effective January 1, 2017, general instructors will no longer be required to deliver 12 hours of instruction every three years to maintain certification. In addition, General Instructor certification will no longer have an expiration date, provided each instructor completes a one-hour online update training course administered by the NC Justice Academy each calendar year.

General Instructor Update Training Course Enrollment Information

The NC Justice Academy will be the only school offering the General Instructor Update each year. The training will be offered via the NC Justice Academy online portal. Instructors may access the course by logging in to their existing portal account. The course will be listed with other online courses. Anyone who does not have a portal account should create one by following the instructions located here.
