Network Usage Policy

Wireless access for guests is provided as a courtesy.  As such, the access is limited to web traffic only (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL VPN). Guests are responsible for all setup and configuration of wireless connectivity on their laptops. Guest should obtain the SSID and security key from the employee they are meeting.

Securing confidential information transmitted or received while on this network is the user’s responsibility. The State assumes no responsibility or liability for any privacy of confidential communications on this network. Confidential information is highly recommended not to be transmitted while on this network unless VPN access is utilized. The State does not supply VPN software, and is the guest’s responsibility.

Your traffic may be monitored as a part of normal network management processes. You must use this wireless network responsibly and comply with federal, state, and local laws. This includes but is not limited to not transmitting or receiving illegal or harmful material, committing fraud, or downloading copyrighted materials. Violators are subject to having their wireless access at this facility revoked. The State reserves the right to audit networks and systems periodically to ensure compliance with this policy.
