Terrorism-Related Officer Safety Strategies

Who Should Attend:

Only sworn law enforcement officers - State, local and tribal law enforcement officers

Course Goal:

The goal of this workshop is to improve the awareness level of of law enforcement professionals to detect terrorist and violent criminal extremist (VCEs) whether they are planning and gathering materials, conducting surveillance on potential targets, or practicing the skills needed to carry out an attack, their activities impact law enforcement agencies.

Course Objectives:

The Terrorism-Related Officer Safety Strategies workshop will address the following objectives:
The current officer safety threat presented by terrorists/VCAs;
Recognizing behavioral indicators exhibited by terrorists/VCEs to increase officer safety;
Officer safety preparedness strategies and resources; and 
Terrorism mitigation strategies and officer resiliency.


A cadre of subject matters experts will present the course information through the use of lecture, discussion, and multimedia presentations.
