Who Should Attend:

All new Agency In-Service Training Coordinators responsible for evaluating instructors and conducting / coordinating Commission-mandated in-service training.

Course Goals:

To discuss the in-service training requirements as mandated by the Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and the Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission and to discuss and practice the utilization of the instructor evaluation form for in-service training.

Course Objectives:

The student will be able to:

► Discuss the responsibilities of the agency In-Service Training Coordinator as established by the Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and the Sheriffs' Education and Training Standards Commission.

► Demonstrate how to properly complete the instructor evaluation form using the corresponding criteria.

Methodologies:

This course employs discussion, demonstration, and practical exercise.

Course Requirements:

Participants should be an Agency In-Service Training Coordinator and hold a general instructor certification. Testing is required for this course. Participants will be required to score at least 70% on the final exam.
 
Special Concerns:
Representatives from the Criminal Justice Standards Division and the Sheriffs’ Standards Division will be present at the training sessions to provide information on the in-service training requirements.
