Who Should Attend:

Certified verbal judo instructors that need to recertify as outlined in the provisions of the Verbal Judo Institute.

Course Goal:

The course is designed to equip attendees with the knowledge to teach others within their agency how to control verbal encounters in order to generate voluntary compliance, cooperation, and collaboration.

Course Objectives:

The student will be able to achieve the following objectives in accordance with the information received during this course of instruction:

Topics Covered:
o Tactics for staying professional in a crooked world.
o Seven things never to say to anyone . . . and what to say instead.
o The Five Universal Truths that generate voluntary compliance.
o Learn to manage verbal abuse - not just take it.
o How to make Ethical Interventions before bad things happen.
o What is the "POP Index?"
o How to listen to the whole conversation to make the right assessment.
o Knowing when to act and being able to defend your actions.
o Making the best initial contacts in highly emotional situations.
o Build powerful persuasion tactics built on street-tested experience.
o Articulation: How to write the report to defend your decisions.
o Assessment: How to perform, teach, and test/evaluate these tactics.


This course employs classroom instruction, open discussion and practical exercise.
