The Audio Visual Center, part of the NCJA Library, provides criminal justice personnel in North Carolina with training and public information materials. The library contains over 2200 videotapes, DVDs, and CDs. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We are currently updating our collection, converting or replacing most videotapes in favor of DVDs or online streaming video. For newer materials, search our library catalog. PROCEDURES FOR BORROWING Please abide by the following regulations: ♦ We only lend materials to North Carolina agencies. ♦ Requests for audio visual materials are taken by letter, email, or fax. You will receive written confirmation of each item scheduled for you and the date or dates of use. ♦ The Audio Visual Center makes A/V materials available without charge to all borrowers except for return postage. Materials may be returned via UPS or the US Post Office. The borrower is liable for any lost materials. ♦ Requests for materials should be submitted at least two weeks in advance but no more than three months in advance. ♦ Request materials for the specific dates they are to be used. ♦ Materials may be kept for 30 days. We appreciate prompt returns. ♦ Please record the number of showings and the number of people viewing on the form sent with the materials. ♦ The materials in the NCJA Audio Visual Center are covered by U.S. copyright law.
