Narcoterrorism

This three day course is for all law enforcement officers, investigators and related personnel who may prevent or respond to a criminal act perpetrated by a foreign or domestic terrorist and/or criminal organization including narcotics trafficking. It will be taught in Raleigh on August 23-25.

Management Development Program

This program develops the knowledge, skills and abilities to function as a progressive leader and innovative manager in a law enforcement agency. The program is comprised of eleven modules, one per month from January through November (500 hours). Admission to this program is competitive and by special application and interview only. Selected participants will be required to purchase class and physical conditioning attire, estimated cost $300.00.

All law enforcement 2016 in-service courses are available to be taken online (except for 2016 Firearms Training and Qualification). We have several detention and telecommunicator in-service courses online and will be adding more.

Aggressive Driving Enforcement (web-based)

Three dates have just been added. This course is for those law enforcement officers who have the responsibility of enforcing traffic laws within their jurisdiction and those tasked with the responsibility of developing an agency traffic safety program. It is a TEICP Accredited Course.


Welcome to the North Carolina Justice Academy website.  The Academy's staff trains thousands of criminal justice personnel throughout the state. Numerous state and local agencies make use of the campus facilities, instructional services, and its professional staff for criminal justice training.
