Community Policing Certificate Program

This program is designed for North Carolina officers to recognize the achievement of individual's progressive training goals within the field of Community Oriented Policing.

Criminal Investigation Certificate Program

This program is a series of North Carolina Justice Academy courses, both core and electives, for investigators who wish to receive recognition for their achievement. Instructor Development Certificate Program

The Instructor Development Program (IDP) is a certificate program hosted by the North Carolina Justice Academy. The program will provide instructors with opportunities to improve their skills in all areas of the training function. NCJA has collaborated with training experts from other organizations from both the public and private sector to provide IDP students with the best possible learning experience.

Management Development Program

The Management Development Program (MDP) provides an innovative curriculum that is designed to examine the complex issues of law enforcement management. The goals of this program is to develop management and leadership skills which are fundamental to the criminal justice leaders of today.

School Resource Officer Certificate Program

This program is specifically for School Resource Officers who have a desire to increase their training experiences and credentials.  The courses selected for the program recognize that an SRO is often required to perform traditional patrol responsibilities in addition to their school-related duties.

Tactical Training Certificate Program

This program is designed to recognize the achievements of those officers involved in the specialized and tactical arenas. It combines core courses and elective courses to provide the individual officer the opportunity to develop a solid foundation of tactical training and expertise. 

Traffic Enforcement Certificate Program

This program is designed for North Carolina officers who upon completion will have mastered several important aspects of traffic enforcement and related topics thus achieving a high level of professionalism.
