Crash Reconstruction Update

Prerequisite:

Traffic Crash Reconstruction prior to January 2014.

Who Should Attend:

This course offering is for traffic crash Reconstructionists who completed Traffic Crash Reconstruction training prior to January 2014. Topics included in this Update course are contained in the current NCJA Traffic Crash Reconstruction training program.

Course Goal:

To update skill sets learned in prior NCJA training.

Course Objectives:

  • Introduction to CDR’s
  • Occupant Kinematics
  • Kinetic Energy
  • Commercial Motor Vehicles (expanded data including Brake Force Calculation)

Methodologies:

Classroom presentation, mathematical practical exercises

Course Requirements:

100% attendance is required. Students successfully completing all course requirements will receive training certificates from the NC Justice Academy. 

Special Concerns:

Students should bring a scientific calculator to class.
