40 Hour Tactics Course

Prerequisites:

Must be a sworn L/E officer assigned to a tactical response team or its equivalent or active military personnel.

Who Should Attend:

SWAT Officers or active military

Course Goal:

This five day course will be conducted by Norse Tactical, a well respected and trusted tactical training vendor with real world experience in military and L/E operations. Norse will discuss, introduce and demonstrate advanced techniques that will improve a student’s capability and enable them to effectively and efficiently clear multiple structure types in critical situations. The course will present the most up to date and effective methods of clearance in tactical skills and methods.

Course Objectives:

The student will be able to: 
► Discuss the importance of combat readiness and conduct a series of Close Quarters Tactics training drills.
► Safely demonstrate the ability to manipulate and operate  both primary and secondary weapon systems in a tactical manner during a series of training exercises through Tactical Firearms training
► Identify the methods used in Linear Assaults, Mechanical Breaching, or a continued progression of Close Quarters Tactics.
► Will learn to establish uniformity, and team cohesion in Tactical Operations.

Methodologies:

This course employs lecture, discussion, demonstrations and practical exercises. 

Course Requirements:

100% Attendance. Successfully Complete All Practical Exercises. 
Must Bring a SWAT Uniform, Law Enforcement Credentials, Duty Rifle, Duty Pistol, Body Armor, 500 Rounds Rifle Ammunition, 500 Rounds Pistol Ammunition, 200 Rounds Rifle Simmunition, 100 Rounds Pistol Simmunition, Ear Protection, Eye Protection and Mechanical Breaching Tools.

Special Concerns:

Only sworn law enforcement who are on a tactical response team or active military personnel will be allowed to enroll. 

Fee & Registration:

Students must dual register:

  1. Register with NCJA for housing/grade on our North Carolina Justice Academy Training Portal and
